Oct 11th-Ten days to go

Ten days away to show time...in spite of all the frustration, the ups and downs, and disappointments, leading up to the show, I'm very excite. Our work is not done, so much more to do; sell tickets, get decorations, sell tickets, hire staff, sell tickets, the list seems endless. We are days away to premiere one of LA's hair event featuring some amazing creative hair designers, fashion designers and pur special sponsor Dr. Boogie with his new natural hair care line.

Our latest fashion designer, London Jones, is one of the beauty industry's baddest stylist gone fashion designer, Gale Cox. Her and her daughter Michelle are building this young easy dressing collection for women on the move. Don't miss Gale's come back in hair game,too- she really never put her irons down just pick up some new skills to express her creativity.

Our collaboration project hit a wall last week when several designers I had been negotiating to be in show didn't work  out. By Friday, things started looking up again when I met Lynn Patterson, owner of LL's Consignment & Jewelry store at the grand reopening of J. Anthony Brown Spot during the KJLH Adai's live broadcast. She joining our hair stylist to showcase her  clothes in their scenes in the show. Welcome on board LL's Consignment, at 1205 N La Brea Ave Inglewood Ca 90302, 310-673-0988. She has all kinds of eclectic, interesting clothing from celebrities,  vintage clothes  and Lynn has an eye to dress you like a star. LL's clothes are top quality clothes from Beverly Hills /Melrose/Sunset shops ...call ,go by and say hi and buy somethin'.

Oh, and by the way, you can buy tickets online at the Brown Paper Tickets site  www.bpt.me/282536
Ten more days and it's on!!!

Sept 30th...Fashion Designer Alert....

The last week of September has been a roller coast ride in finalizing several major elements to HES12. For one we are working on the new flier to feature our "Beauty at the Beach" photo shoot and the first draft didn't make the cut it had same appeal as another hair show flier. HES12 is a different style show therefore the uniqueness has to be reflected in the flier.

The rest of the week got better, we finalized details with Sa'brak boutique, 3120 W Manchester Blvd Inglewood. Charly, the owner is a personal stylist and leads a women empowerment group at her boutique. She has all types of clothes for the party girl junior, missy and plus sizes  to the bohemian looks and the conservative woman, too. HES12 hair stylist, Marlon Clayton from Dare To Be Notice, Inglewood suggested her and she is collaborating with him to get clothes for his hair models.

By Friday, Alicia Culbertson, fashion designer and owner of  STARE Boutique (formerly Bougee boutique) is interested to collaborate with HES12 hair stylists. Her boutique is located at 4900 W Slauson Ave Ladera Heights. Her designs are uptown feminity- Lisa Raye, Single Ladies type with a throw back to Audrey Hepburn with sex appeal. She describes Stare fashions as "clothes for women who don't mind showing off their curves". Her designs can go from day to evening and I like her approach to the fall fashion which she is highlighting pink tones with  brown as the contrasting shade. I love this combination, it reminds me of my favorite ice cream flavors strawberry & chocolate.

Check both them out on their FB page..Stare Boutique and Sabraks boutique.
